ABOUT US

The first time I had this treatment done I fell in love with it. I knew at that moment that there was little else out there that could produce the same benefits and I could hardly find the treatment anywhere. Even near Boston.

I started offering shirodhara in October of 2009 with the intent of providing traditional shirodhara therapy for the community. Treatments last approximately one hour, and I take great care to provide maximum comfort and relaxation. I use Banyan Botanicals certified organic shirodhara oil, a formulation of Vasant Lad's. One's used oil can be saved for follow-up appointments. After that I recycle it.

I was trained in shirodhara therapy by Karyn Chabot of the Sacred Stone School of Ayurvedic Massage.  To perfect the process, I also sought the instruction and guidance from other esteemed Ayurvedic practitioners. I have been practicing an Ayurvedic and yogic lifestyle for over ten years and I have offered over 100 shirodharas. It's very important to me that I provide an authentic and traditional shirodhara.

My latest project AyurvedaNextDoor.com is an online directory for Ayurvedic practitioners, treatments, clinics and schools. The site will also include a shop to purchase select Ayurvedic products and gifts, and a blog full of recipes and informative articles by practitioners.

I do practice yoga daily and volunteer regularly for Isha Foundation, both locally and at the Isha Institute of Inner-sciences in McMinnville, TN. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the University of New Hampshire, 1999. I enjoy making art and jewelry inspired by yoga and life.
